Ever seen anything like this before? The heavy lifters being used to carry the space shuttle to the launching pad at Cape Canaveral ring a bell?
These - we have two available - are a little smaller but can still carry a genuine 14500kgs and swivel the load through 360 degrees while doing it. Without the powered swivel the load capacity would possibly be double - or until it squashed!
Cleverly designed and built by Nikken in Japan, they use an Isuzu 4 cylinder diesel engine and all functions are fully hydraulic. They are full function long range radio controlled or manually controlled and have spare hydraulic circuits in case you want to add some other functions of your own.
With the engine mounted so low these are far far better than anything you could build from a digger track base. Possible uses are really limited only by your imagination but here are a few suggestions - A walking base for a crusher, screener, conveyor or ship loader system. Powered dolly unit for moving heavy trailers or loads on site. Hose reel carrier and remote controlled spreader for liquid fertilisers or settling pond sludge. Heavy load skates for engineering shops. A lazy Susan?
